GBL's 2024 Convention charity organization is Can Play. Can Play is a nonprofit organization based in central Iowa. Their goal is to bring adapted and no-cost recreational programs to our community by removing barriers to play. Can Play provides access to sports and recreation programming for thousands of underserved youth in central Iowa who have financial, physical, cognitive, emotional, or chronic healthcare barriers to play.

 

 

The Can Play Organization is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 46-1443733) and their mission empowers them to decrease the participation gap in sports and recreation that affects underprivileged youth not just physically, but also on a social, mental, and developmental level.

 

Can Play serves approximately 15,000 participants a year through our Opportunity, Courage, H.E.R.S., licensing, and other community programs.

 

​A charity raffle will be held at the GBL Annual Convention on August 7-8, 2024. Our goal at GBL is to raise as much money as possible to help support the Can Play Organization and the families they work with.
